The Wee Buachaille Again

The forecast was miserable for yesterday, but it was getting to yon stage that I had to get up a hill, otherwise I was in danger of giving up for the winter. Andy was of similar mind, so we set off for Glencoe about 8am, with a cargo of three dugs, namely Jorja Cara & Maura.

The roads were pretty quiet heading north, although there were loads of coaches coming the opposite way. I assume it was holidaymakers returning after the October school week off, although quite why I think there's a correlation there, I've no idea. Old folk that go on bus tours aren't still at school.

;0)

As we parked in the layby beyond the Big Hoose at Dalness, the heavens opened. Absolutely torrential, We waited five minutes, but it wisny improving, so there was nothing else for it than to trudge off in the rain.

At least we kept going this time, unlike the last trip. Pretty uneventful day. I think that's the sixth time I've been up the back of that hill, and although it's admittedly steep, it never seems to take as long as you think to get up.

One Munro was enough, given the weather, but at least that's Andy's long-awaited 25th out the road. I think it's Jorja's 10th, actually. She's getting to be a proper wee hill dog!
