I've just come across the news that Oliver Postgate has died. Now he was a childhood icon.
I mean, the band that I played in through secondary school and for a few years afterwards was called Pogle's Wood. It disny get much more meaningful that that when you're a teenager intent on making it as a rockstar.
Sigh.
