If you can't have a bit of a celebration for your sixteenth birthday, things have come to a pretty pass.
That's a year now that I'd been telling folk who inquired after the age of the, um, Wee Greying Dug that she'd "be 16 next birthday". It maybe didn't make much difference to Jorja, but it kept me optimistic.
So - a mere 11 months till she hits 17. You heard it here first.
