A random visit to the BBC Scotland website today revealed this heart warming story - which a lot of outdoorsy folk had maybe picked up on from the original forum anyway.
However, as an added bonus - the icing of pictorial recognition on the cake of sterling effort, if you will - I can proudly reveal that the fellow walker mentioned in the phrase "I had a fellow walker drive all the way from Lanarkshire with his two dogs to search..." was none other than the bold Andy, pictured here with yet another dug.
Although he's not really searching for that one, more tormenting it with an apple.
