Well, my mum's 70 today. We had a nice, fairly restful day & she enjoyed herself I'm sure. She hadn't wanted a party, definitely not, and after her cruise experience that was out of the question as well. So she's getting three nights at Stobo castle at some point next year, with a couple of "treatments"(!) as well.
What we actually did today was head up to The Dakota for a late lunch. Mum, me, Marion, Ryan, Moira, Anne, Andy & the girls. It was good, after a slightly shaky start. All progressed in excellent fashion thereafter though, and then we came back to our house for gin, tea & cakes. A good day I reckon.
