Tortured thought process, made in Scotland from girders.

We were awa' to points north again yesterday, and managed to stumble up and over Meall a' Chrasgaidh, Sgurr Mor and Beinn Liath Mhor Fannaich. So, as you do, I was vainly trying to think up some ironic, relevant and ideally faintly rude headline involving the word Fannaichs.

Almost the first thought that springs to mind in such circumstances is, accordingly, Irn-Bru. The power of advertising, eh? Still, although I suppose I kind of knew they'd have a website, I hadn't entirely realised that it was such a wealth of riches.

Two personal selected favourites.

2. Classic advertising:

Just be thankful that - regardless of the fact it was almost exactly what I was after - I didn't go for this almost irresistible headline.

Actually, coy be damned. If you win the competition, they send you one of these to stick on your fridge.

And yes, that makes it a fanny magnet.

To end on a slightly more wholesome note, and with a certain degree of foundry-related symmetry, we got a distant view of An Teallach just after we started walking yesterday:
